When starting a SaaS company, it’s easy to get lost in the details and worry about small details. At this stage, it’s very important to keep things simple and silly.
The same goes for landing pages. At Ciphers Lab, I have worked with many of his B2B founders to develop his SaaS and App products. I often see these founders worrying about copy. Creating, designing, and developing landing pages for SaaS and other products can seem daunting. Not everyone is born with the writing skills of a copywriter.
However, if you follow a magic trick, you can literally create a simple, ready-made, conversion-optimized landing page in a day with no background.
That magic is called AIDA.
AIDA is the most eminent marketing model in the world of advertising and copywriting. It’s an acronym that stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action.
This hierarchical model breaks down the step-by-step process of the user journey from a simple visit to a complete purchase.
Let’s explore the magic!
Attention (Hero of Landing Page)
Attention, also known as the “hero area” of your landing page, encourages you to create compelling headlines and images that keep users reading.
Sit quietly and think of a specific word or phrase that articulates your value proposition.
Try to keep it clear and simple, don’t try to come up with your own terminology at this point. Instead, engage with your users.
Find out what modifications they want and include it as a keyword in your headline. Ideally, also capture the hero section email along with the CTA.
According to a Marketing Experiments study, over 90% of his visitors who read the headline also read her CTA copy.
Take the Crazyegg landing page as an example.

Interest Aka How it Works
Once you’ve captured the user’s attention, it’s time to entice them with a short offer. Ask yourself what you can say about your product that will interest your target audience.
does that fix the problem?
Are there any free services?
Are there any simple steps? Do you have many advantages?
How can it be interpreted by your audience?
We encourage you to establish a good step-by-step process for addressing the issues your users face and how your product solves them.

Desire
Once intrigued, now’s the perfect time to whet your appetite with some testimonials.
Let them know how you solved other people’s problems and made the change they needed. By doing so, you are showing them on a subconscious level how well you can do for them.
Now is the perfect time to showcase your testimonials.
88 percent of consumers trust testimonials and reviews
If you’re just getting started and don’t have enough referral information yet, share our products with friends and family for free. This will not only give you some impressions, but also early feedback which is very important at this stage.

Action
It went well. It captured the reader’s attention, aroused interest and desire. Now is the time to act.
Guide them with a clear call to action. Have a very clear price list with a clear CTA.
It’s up to you what you want them to do. Want to start a free trial or contact us? Or book a demo with your sales team? Whatever your goals are, make them clear.
Adding a descriptive FAQ section will ultimately play an important role in clearing up any concerns or ambiguities in your readers’ minds.
Bonus Advice: Keep Testing!
Only 52% of businesses and agencies using landing pages test them to find ways to improve conversions.
It’s important to test and track the performance of your landing pages regularly. This helps you visualize your client’s journey and see what’s working and what’s not. Although it sounds tedious, it is a simple process.
Install Good Analytics and Hotjar to track performance. At Ciphers Lab, we’ve seen a 10x increase in conversions by adding dialog boxes to the conversation flow.
Conclusion
Creating a first copy of your landing page with a high conversion goal is very easy. All you have to do is understand the value you provide and translate it in the simplest way possible.
The AIDA framework is not only useful for creating landing pages, but it can also be easily applied to create newsletters, ad copy, headlines, and more.
